Our Mission

Our mission is to carry the SAA message to the sex addict who still suffers. We do this by supporting each individual SAA member and the SAA groups that meet in Indiana.

Keep coming back. It works, if you work it and because YOU'RE WORTH IT!

Welcome. We're Glad You're Here.

The Indiana Intergroup of Sex Addicts Anonymous (IISAA) is a meeting group consisting of representatives from those Indiana SAA meetings that choose to belong.

We are here to help individual sex addicts and the meetings they attend to succeed in their efforts to achieve recovery from sexual addiction following the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Sex Addicts Anonymous.

On this site, you will find resources to help you begin your journey to recovery including meeting times and locations, events and other helpful resources.

We hope you will let us support you as you begin your journey to recovery from sexual addiction.

Daily Recovery Plan Sheet

This form is intended to provide an easy and efficient method to create and implement a daily recovery plan.  Feel free to use it as part of your personal recovery and/or share it with other group members and/or your sponsees.  Thanks to Spencer A. for developing this tool.

2019 SAA Membership Survey

The following survey is to help determine the demographics of the SAA fellowship; and, as we do this in later years, to determine the growth of the fellowship.

It is imperative that all members of SAA complete a survey form for us to get an accurate picture of the fellowship. If you attend multiple meetings, please only complete the survey once.

Literature

Sex Addicts Anonymous is an international fellowship consisting of meeting groups from around the world. The International Service Organization of Sex Addicts Anonymous (ISO of SAA) supports the efforts of individual members, member groups and Intergroups to carry the SAA message to the sex addict who still suffers. A major thrust of the ISO is to encourage the development and sale of SAA Conference Approved literature. Clicking on the button below will take you to the ISO of SAA website. There, you can explore official SAA literature; and, you can tap into all of the other recovery resources that the ISO of SAA provides.

Self Assessment

A Twelve Question Tool for Sexual Addiction Assessment

Answer these twelve questions to assess whether you may have a problem with sexual addiction.

  • Question 1

Do you keep secrets about your sexual or romantic activities from those important to you? Do you lead a double life?

  • Question 2

Have your needs driven you to have sex in places or situations or with people you would not normally choose?

  • Question 3

Do you find yourself looking for sexually arousing articles or scenes in newspapers, magazines, or other media?

  • Question 4

Do you find that romantic or sexual fantasies interfere with your relationships or are preventing you from facing problems?

  • Question 5

Do you frequently want to get away from a sex partner after having sex? Do you frequently feel remorse, shame, or guilt after a sexual encounter?

  • Question 6

Do you feel shame about your body or your sexuality, such that you avoid touching your body or engaging in sexual relationships? Do you fear that you have no sexual feelings, that you are asexual?

  • Question 7

Does each new relationship continue to have the same destructive patterns which prompted you to leave the last relationship?

  • Question 8

Is it taking more variety and frequency of sexual and romantic activities than previously to bring the same levels of excitement and relief?

  • Question 9

Have you ever been arrested or are you in danger of being arrested because of your practices of voyeurism, exhibitionism, prostitution, sex with minors, indecent phone calls, etc.?

  • Question 10

Does your pursuit of sex or romantic relationships interfere with your spiritual beliefs or development?

  • Question 11

Do your sexual activities include the risk, threat, or reality of disease, pregnancy, coercion, or violence?

  • Question 12

Has your sexual or romantic behavior ever left you feeling hopeless, alienated from others, or suicidal?

If you answered yes to more than one of these questions, we would encourage you to seek out additional literature (see above) as a resource or to attend a Sex Addicts Anonymous meeting (click here) to further assess your needs.

ISAA Fall Retreat October 17, 2020 - Virtual Retreat

ISAA Fall Retreat October 17, 2020

In this day and age of the “new normal,” when work, play, and now recovery meetings means keeping our distance, connections are more important than ever before. Creating and maintaining connections, whether with our individual groups, continued work with our sponsors and sponsorees, or whether it is expanding our relationship with our Higher Power, these connections help bridge the gap from isolation to meaningful relationships in our lives. With this in mind, the Indiana Intergroup of Sex Addicts Anonymous (IISAA) has chosen the motto as our program of work theme for 2020-2021. For the 2020 IISAA Fall Retreat, we will focus on how all of these connections help “piece” together a happy, joyous, and free life.

During this year's retreat, we will learn why these connections are important and how to grow them, thus ensuring our recovery. This retreat is for sex addicts and codependents of sex addicts who are members of SA, SAA, SCA, SLAA and COSA.

UPDATE - PLEASE READ

There have been some major changes to the IISAA 2020 Fall Retreat. With a heavy heart, the Fall Retreat Committee was informed on August 25th that Camp Pyoca will not be able to host any retreats for the remainder of the year. Which means, we are not able to have our IN-person retreat. However, we have implemented and launched a virtual option for this year. The virtual retreat will be one day only – Saturday, October 17th. We will offer 4 breakout sessions with two options at each time. Each session will last about an hour and half with a break for lunch between session 2 and 3. We will be using Zoom as our form of holding each session.

If interested in being part of this virtual retreat you will still need to fill out a registration form. An e-mail address will be required to attend the sessions. The cost is still $5 ($8 for online form).

Any questions please call Mike P – 765-228-6865 or Ted D – 317-372-2294.

Persons who are only interested in learning more about the SAA program should look for an “Open Meeting” on the list. Note also whether a meeting is for “Men Only”, “Women Only”, or for everyone. We are eager to support you in your journey through recovery to sexual sobriety.

NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and the Stay at Home Executive Order in Indiana, we are asking that all meetings be held online or by phone conference via an array of communication services (GoToMeeting, WebEX, Zoom, FreeConferenceCall, etc.).  Please check with the coordinator of each meeting in the directory below to check on the availability of options for you.

What are SAA and IISAA

Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA™) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so they may stop their compulsive sexual behavior and help others to recover from sexual addiction and dependency. The Indiana Intergroup of Sex Addicts Anonymous (IISAA) is an autonomous registered fellowship composed of registered groups of recovering sex addicts who follow the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Sex Addicts Anonymous.

The primary purpose of this web site is to reach out to sex addicts in Indiana and the surrounding area who still suffer and to serve and support the groups and members of IISAA. If you have a problem with sexual addiction, please read on - this site is for you.

The views expressed on this website are those of the Indiana Intergroup and do not necessarily represent those of Sex Addicts Anonymous as a whole. The official website of Sex Addicts Anonymous (http://www.saa-recovery.org) is overseen by the ISO of SAA™, Inc., through its Board of Trustees who are elected by delegates who represent its member groups.

Who May Join?

Membership is open to all who share a desire to stop compulsive sexual behavior and who are willing to follow this simple program. While sexual sobriety is a goal, it is not a requirement for attendance or participation. If you are concerned that you or someone you know may have a problem with sexual addiction, you are invited to assess your situation with the questionnaire on this website.

What Are The Guides?

The Sex Addicts Anonymous program is founded on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of SAA. They are based on the steps and traditions of AA, however, Sex Addicts Anonymous is not affiliated with AA or any other organization or agency. It is not a religious organization or aligned with any sect or denomination. Rather, it is a spiritual program based on progress rather than perfection.

Anonymity and Confidentiality

Anonymity and confidentiality are the cornerstones of Sex Addicts Anonymous. Only first names are used. Status and position outside of the group is not an issue. Our common bond is the desire to stop compulsive sexual behavior and to live a sexually healthy life. Anonymity and confidentiality are essential for a Sex Addicts Anonymous meeting being a safe place.

How Are Sex Addicts Anonymous and IISAA Financed?

Sex Addicts Anonymous and IISAA are supported from voluntary contributions of its members. There are no outside donations. There are no fees or dues. The "hat is passed" at each meeting and contributions are freely received. Sex Addicts Anonymous and IISAA are funded by donations from its members.

Where Can I Get More Information?

More information, links to other regional Sex Addicts Anonymous websites and other sexual addiction recovery sites, may be found at the official website of SAA.

You may also get more information by contacting IISAA at 855 784-8739. You may leave a message and your call will be returned by a volunteer.
